Job Title: Accountant
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in the transportation industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with hands-on experience in the transport/logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including billing, invoicing, and ledger entries
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Manage freight billing, vehicle expenses, fuel costs, and driver payments
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with financial regulations
- Coordinate with operations and management teams on financial matters
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
- Proficiency in Tally ERP (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office — especially Excel and Word
- Prior experience working in a transport or logistics company is required
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
