Farm Manager – Integrated Agriculture, Poultry, Duck & Fishery Operations
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our integrated farm. The Farm Manager will be responsible for planning and supervising sowing, cultivation, harvesting and post-harvest activities, while also managing ducks, poultry and fishery operations.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, hardworking, capable of managing farm workers, and comfortable taking responsibility for the overall productivity, maintenance and upkeep of the farm.
Key Responsibilities1. Crop & Agricultural Operations
- Plan and supervise land preparation, sowing, planting, irrigation, fertilization, weeding and harvesting.
- Ensure crops are sown and harvested according to the appropriate seasonal calendar.
- Monitor crop growth, soil condition, irrigation and pest/disease issues.
- Coordinate procurement and proper use of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other agricultural inputs.
- Supervise harvesting, sorting, grading, storage and movement of farm produce.
- Maintain records of crop-wise production, input usage and expenses.
- Identify crop problems early and take corrective action in consultation with agricultural experts when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of agricultural equipment and farm areas.
2. Farm Labour Management
- Allocate daily duties to farm workers and supervise their work.
- Maintain discipline, attendance and productivity of workers.
- Ensure sufficient labour is available during critical periods such as sowing and harvesting.
- Train workers in proper farming, animal care and safety practices.
- Monitor daily work and provide regular updates to the farm owner/management.
3. Duck Management
- Oversee the daily care and management of ducks.
- Ensure proper feeding, clean drinking water and hygienic housing.
- Monitor duck health, growth, mortality and egg production where applicable.
- Maintain proper vaccination, medication and veterinary records.
- Keep duck sheds and surrounding areas clean and properly maintained.
- Manage duck breeding, stocking and sales as required.
4. Poultry Management
- Supervise day-to-day poultry operations, including feeding, watering and cleaning.
- Monitor bird health, growth, egg production and mortality.
- Maintain proper vaccination and medication schedules.
- Ensure poultry houses have adequate ventilation, cleanliness and biosecurity.
- Monitor feed consumption and maintain feed inventory.
- Coordinate with veterinarians when birds show signs of illness.
- Maintain records of poultry numbers, production, mortality, feed usage and expenses.
5. Fishery Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of fish ponds/tanks.
- Monitor water quality, water levels and pond cleanliness.
- Supervise fish feeding and monitor fish growth.
- Maintain appropriate stocking densities and fish health.
- Identify signs of disease, poor water quality or abnormal fish behaviour.
- Coordinate fish harvesting, weighing, storage and sale.
- Maintain records of stocking, feed, mortality, growth and harvesting.
6. Farm Maintenance & Infrastructure
- Ensure proper upkeep of fields, ponds, poultry/duck sheds, fencing, roads, water systems and storage areas.
- Monitor pumps, irrigation systems, farm machinery and other equipment.
- Report equipment breakdowns and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure the farm remains clean, organized and safe.
7. Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain daily records of:
- Sowing and harvesting activities
- Crop production
- Labour attendance
- Seed, fertilizer and chemical usage
- Poultry and duck numbers
- Feed consumption
- Egg production, where applicable
- Fish stocking and harvesting
- Mortality and disease
- Farm expenses and purchases
- Provide regular daily/weekly/monthly reports to the farm owner/management.
- Monitor costs and work toward improving farm productivity and profitability.
Candidate Requirements
- 2–5+ years of relevant farm management/agriculture experience preferred.
- Practical knowledge of crop cultivation and seasonal farming activities.
- Experience managing farm labour.
- Experience with poultry, ducks and fishery will be strongly preferred.
- Ability to identify common crop, poultry, duck and fish health problems.
- Good planning, supervision and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and willing to work in an outdoor farm environment.
- Honest, responsible and capable of independently managing day-to-day farm operations.
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours during sowing, harvesting, feeding and other critical farm activities.

Pay: ₹9,705.79 - ₹17,000.00 per month
