Role Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Field Rigger to join our deployment team. You will be responsible for the physical installation, alignment, and site-level integration of microwave radio and UBR equipment. The focus is on precision, safety, and delivering high-quality links that meet technical parameters without rework.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Site Preparation Mount microwave antennas (E-band, traditional MW), UBR units, and associated hardware on towers, poles, and rooftops. Run and secure RF cables, fiber, power cables, and grounding as per layout plans. Assist in site surveys to confirm line of sight and structural readiness.
2. Link Alignment & Performance Align antennas to achieve target RSL and SNR values using alignment tools and spectrum analyzers. Work with deployment leads to fine-tune links based on RSI/RSS feedback. Ensure every link is handed over with verified performance data.
3. Quality & Process Compliance Follow standardized installation procedures and checklists. Maintain a first-time-right discipline to avoid revisits and delays. Support quality audits by keeping accurate site documentation and as-built records.
4. Safety First Strictly follow height safety protocols—harness, anchoring, PPE. Conduct pre-work safety briefings and tool checks. Report near-misses or safety observations immediately.
5. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with project engineers and deployment leads on daily work plans. Submit completion reports with photos, alignment sheets, and material usage. Flag any site-level issues that may impact timelines or link quality.
What You’ll Bring:
Area Experience Technical Know-how Tools Safety Training Mindset Details 2–5 years in telecom rigging, preferably with microwave or UBR deployments Familiar with antenna alignment, RSL/SNR concepts, and basic RF terminology Comfortable using inclinometers, spectrum analyzers, GPS devices, and basic hand/power tools Valid tower climbing / safety certification preferred Process-driven, quality-conscious, and safety-focused
Good to Have:
Exposure to SNMP/IP tools for basic link verification. Experience working on license band and UBR installations. Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and link budgets.
