Job Summary

Advanced integration architecture: Lead the technical design of scalable enterprise integrations using ServiceNow Integration Hub, custom spokes, robust REST/SOAP web services, webhooks, event-driven messaging, and secure MID Server topologies.
Custom application development: Build highly optimized custom applications, automated flows, and dynamic scripts using modern JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and UI Builder components , clean, reusable, and performant by design.
Cognitive automation engineering: Architect and deploy autonomous AI agents and GenAI pipelines natively within the platform using ServiceNow Now Assist, the GenAI Controller, and custom Large Language Model (LLM) endpoints, delivering workflows that reason, act, and improve with minimal human intervention.
AI safety and technical governance: Serve as the technical authority for enterprise integration patterns and AI safety guardrails; define prompt governance, data-handling controls, and guardrails that keep agentic and generative features safe, auditable, and compliant.
Engineering leadership and mentorship: Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and enforce platform best practices around architecture, testing, and secure coding, raising the technical bar across the team.
Cross-functional partnership: Work closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate detailed requirements into resilient technical designs, owning your code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery.
- • Observability and reliability: Instrument integrations and AI pipelines with logging, monitoring, and alerting so failures are caught early, root-caused quickly, and prevented systematically.
Skills: Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform engineering experience, including custom application development, scripting, and enterprise integration design.
Deep expertise in ServiceNow integration technologies: Integration Hub, custom spokes, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and MID Server configuration and security.
Strong command of modern JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and UI Builder.
Proven experience embedding AI into software workflows, decision-making, or automation , ideally with ServiceNow Now Assist, GenAI Controller, or direct LLM endpoint integration.
Solid understanding of API security, authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, mutual TLS, token management), and enterprise data governance.
Experience designing for upgradeability , writing customizations that survive family upgrades and validating them with Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Strong grasp of data structures, design patterns, and performance and scale considerations at the platform level.
Demonstrated technical leadership: leading code reviews, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering best practices across teams.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with material technical risk, serving as functional lead or technical owner.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both engineering and business audiences.
Preferred / Strong plus:
ServiceNow certifications (Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
Experience with agentic AI frameworks, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or vector data stores.
