Experience 5-7 years experience in resistor manufacturing , Drives , Control panels, Control systems, Power electronics, Electrical distribution system , load banks , Neutral earthing resistors , Harmonic filters, Reactors, Transformers, Rectifiers
Minimum 3 years experience in leadership role in Design / R&D Resistor manufacturing

Role Design Manager is responsible for leading Electrical design, development, and innovation activities related to resistor products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing feasibility. The role drives new product development (NPD), supports cost optimization through design improvements, and strengthens technical capability aligned with business growth strategy. Product Design & Development Lead design and development of resistor products such as: Wire wound resistors Thick film resistors Metal film resistors Power resistors Custom-designed resistors Ensure product compliance with customer drawings and technical specifications. Develop new resistor variants based on market and customer requirements. New Product Development (NPD) Drive complete NPD lifecycle: Concept development Prototype validation Testing & qualification Pilot production Product release Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Marketing teams during product development. Design Validation & Testing Ensure proper testing validation including: Resistance tolerance Thermal performance Load life testing Environmental reliability testing Approve engineering drawings and BOMs. Customer & Vendors Technical Support Interact with customers & Vendors for technical clarifications. Support RFQs with technical feasibility inputs. Provide solutions for application-specific resistor requirements. Cost Optimization through Design Identify opportunities for: Material optimization Design simplification Alternate material usage Support value engineering initiatives. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with: Production team Quality Assurance Purchase / Sourcing Marketing & Sales Maintenance team to ensure smooth product industrialization. Documentation & Compliance Maintain design documentation as per ISO standards. Ensure compliance with: Customer specifications IEC standards RoHS / REACH requirements Control Engineering Change Management (ECN / ECR). Team Leadership Lead Design & R&D team. Allocate projects and monitor progress. Develop technical competency within the team. Flexible and willing to undertake local, domestic, and international travel based on organizational requirements
