Job Description
SURA Publications is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Marketing Executives to promote and generate sales for our School Guide and Educational Book products across Chennai.
The selected candidate will be responsible for visiting schools, educational institutions, bookshops, stationery stores, distributors, and retailers to promote SURA School Guides and develop new sales opportunities.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy field marketing, meeting new people, building professional relationships, and contributing directly to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and market SURA School Guides and educational publications across Chennai.
- Visit schools and interact with management, teachers, and relevant decision-makers to introduce and promote our publications.
- Visit bookshops, stationery stores, retailers, and distributors to generate orders and improve product availability.
- Develop new customers and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
- Generate sales leads and convert opportunities into orders.
- Conduct product presentations and explain the features and benefits of SURA publications.
- Collect market feedback regarding competitor products, pricing, customer requirements, and demand.
- Achieve assigned sales and marketing targets.
- Maintain daily visit reports and submit regular updates to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with the sales and office teams for order processing and customer follow-up.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential markets within Chennai.
Candidate Requirements

- Any Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in marketing, sales, and field work.
- Ability to confidently interact with school authorities, shop owners, and customers.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Chennai for field visits.
- Basic knowledge of Tamil and English is preferred.
- Candidates with previous experience in field marketing, book sales, educational sales, or FMCG sales will be an added advantage.
