About the Role
Konstruct & Live is looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester who can ensure our applications deliver a reliable, intuitive, and high-quality user experience.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, identify potential issues, execute structured testing, and help improve overall product quality. We are looking for someone who combines strong testing fundamentals with curiosity, ownership, and a user-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Review product requirements, user stories, designs, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios.
- Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, usability, and exploratory testing.
- Test web and/or mobile applications across different browsers, devices, and environments.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, screenshots, videos, and relevant logs.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and prevent regressions.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
- Validate database or backend data where required using basic SQL queries.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, stand-ups, and release activities.
- Conduct pre-release testing and provide clear visibility on quality risks and release readiness.
- Help improve QA processes, test coverage, documentation, and testing efficiency.
- Contribute to automation testing where applicable and identify suitable test cases for automation.
- Monitor production issues and help investigate defects reported by users or internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Good knowledge of test case design, defect lifecycle, regression testing, and exploratory testing.
- Experience testing web applications, with mobile application testing experience being an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking or project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic understanding of SQL and databases.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools and troubleshooting application issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think through edge cases and different user journeys.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with product and engineering teams.
Good to Have
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar technologies.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or another relevant language.
- Understanding of performance testing and tools such as JMeter or similar platforms.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within deployment workflows.
- Experience testing SaaS platforms or products with multiple user roles and workflows.

Education
