Industry & Machine Exposure (Mandatory)
- Strong experience in Offset Printing Machines
- Exposure to Label Inspection, Folding, Purging, Pasting, Slitting, and Numbering machines
- Knowledge of:
- Roller hardness checking, dimensional checks
- Roller material properties (SS grades)
- Belts and their applications
- Lubricants, hydraulic oil, compressors, air lines, and lubrication systems
- Tool room practices and machining of shafts, bent components, and wear-out parts
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Hands-on troubleshooting of offset printing and allied machines
- Preventive and predictive maintenance planning and execution
- Breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Spare parts management, breakdown reduction, and indigenisation of spares
- Team handling and contractor management across shifts
- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and TPM / CLITA initiatives
Technical Competency (Screening Focus)
Candidates should be capable of addressing the following areas:
- Working principles and troubleshooting of offset printing machines
- Identification and monitoring of wear parts in slitting and numbering machines
- Alignment of folding and pasting machines to prevent jams/misfeeds
- Accuracy and consistency control in label inspection machines
- Experience with servo-driven and pneumatic actuators
- Handling high-speed machines where PM windows are constrained by production demand
Maintenance Excellence
- Implementation of predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and condition-based monitoring
- Planning overhaul frequency and major shutdowns
- Managing simultaneous breakdowns and prioritization
Systems & Compliance
- Experience with maintenance documentation systems (SAP PM / CMMS / Excel)
- Mechanical safety compliance and safe machine operation
- Critical spares management (VED analysis)
- Evaluation and management of AMC effectiveness
