Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Guitar Technician to inspect, maintain, repair, and set up acoustic, electric, and bass guitars. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in guitar servicing, troubleshooting, electronics, and instrument setup while ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete guitar setups including action, intonation, truss rod adjustment, and tuning stability
- Diagnose and repair acoustic, electric, and bass guitars
- Conduct fret dressing, leveling, polishing, and regretting work
- Repair or replace guitar components such as pickups, switches, pots, bridges, nuts, saddles, and tuners
- Perform soldering and electronic troubleshooting
- Handle structural repairs including crack repair, neck adjustment, and bridge repair
- Clean, polish, and restore instruments to professional standards
- Maintain repair records, job sheets, and inventory of spare parts/tools
- Test instruments after repair for sound quality and play ability
- Communicate repair status, timelines, and recommendations to customers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in guitar repair, setup, or instrument servicing
- Good knowledge of guitar mechanics, electronics, and hardware
- Proficiency in soldering and use of repair tools
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to diagnose technical and structural issues
- Basic woodworking and finishing knowledge preferred
- Good communication and customer handling skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or training in lutherie/instrument repair
- Experience with vintage or custom guitars
- Familiarity with major guitar brands and models
- Experience in workshop or music store environment
Tools & Equipment Knowledge
- Nut files, fret files, radius gauges, leveling beams
- Soldering iron and multimeter
- Polishing and finishing tools
- Guitar setup measurement tools
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
