Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Electrical to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical design drawings using AutoCAD, developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), maintaining engineering documentation, coordinating with project and site teams, and providing technical support throughout project execution. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical GA drawings, SLDs, panel layouts, wiring schematics, cable routing layouts, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop, review, and revise electrical drawings based on project requirements, site conditions, and client comments.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and technical specifications from approved drawings.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, technical submittals, revision records, and other engineering documents.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Production to ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in technical discussions with site engineers to resolve design-related issues.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that electrical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, client specifications, and company quality procedures.
- Complete design deliverables within project schedules while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Qualifications
- B.Tech /B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of electrical design, cable sizing, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and electrical layouts.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and engineering documentation.
- Good understanding of electrical standards, codes, and safety practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
