Location: [Central pharmacy ] KOCHI, KADAVANTHRA
Department: Pharmacy
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist Assistant to support the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, handling medicine deliveries, and ensuring excellent patient service. The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, basic knowledge of medicines, and the ability to work efficiently in a healthcare environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPharmacy Operations
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines as per prescriptions.
- Prepare and label medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines according to guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
Inventory Management
- Monitor medicine stock levels and report shortages.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and stocking medicines and medical supplies.
- Track expiry dates and remove expired or damaged products.
- Maintain inventory records and stock registers.
Patient Support
- Guide patients regarding billing and medicine collection procedures.
- Assist in handling patient inquiries and directing them to the pharmacist when necessary.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to patients.
Medicine Delivery & Documentation
- Coordinate medicine deliveries to patients when required.
- Maintain accurate records of medicine dispatch and receipt.
- Support pharmacy documentation and filing activities.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow pharmacy regulations, healthcare standards, and company policies.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and data privacy.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Diploma, Degree, or certification in Pharmacy Assistance or related field preferred.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of medicines and pharmacy operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and billing software is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Must have good computer knowledge {Excel & Ms word }
