Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our architectural and construction business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of projects, optimizing operational efficiency, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Operations Manager will work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, procurement teams, site supervisors, clients, and senior management to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee the company's daily operational activities.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor operational performance and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and resources.
Project Execution.
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, site teams, and consultants.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and monitor progress.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor project managers, architects, engineers, site supervisors, and support staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Foster collaboration and accountability across departments.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns and operational issues.
- Maintain high standards of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial & Cost Control
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and operational expenses.
- Review estimates, BOQs, procurement plans, and project costs.
- Approve operational expenditures within delegated authority.
- Work with the finance team to improve project profitability and cost efficiency.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Coordinate procurement activities and material planning.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strategic vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, machinery, and subcontractor resources.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and company procedures.
- Monitor compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, and safety requirements.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Conduct periodic operational and site audits.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project delivery, productivity, quality, and profitability.
- Use project management tools and MIS reports for effective decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- MBA in Operations, Project Management, or Business Management is an added advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience
