The Regional Coordinator will lead regional mobilisation, partnerships, advocacy, and implementation support for accessibility-focused initiatives including Yes to Access (YTA), Sugamya Sarvekshan, and Sugamya Yatra 2.0.
The role requires building strong regional ecosystems across government, civil society, academic institutions, OPDs, volunteers, and partner networks to scale accessibility audits, increase participation on the YTA platform, and strengthen the use of accessibility data for advocacy and systems change.
The Regional Coordinator will play a key role in driving partner-led implementation in larger urban centers and ensuring sustained regional engagement around accessibility and inclusion.
Lead regional outreach and mobilisation efforts to scale the Yes to Access platform and accessibility audit ecosystem.
Engage colleges, universities, CSOs, OPDs, volunteer networks, Fellows, APD partners, and community stakeholders to increase participation in accessibility audits and mapping activities.
Support regional contributions towards national targets, including accessibility audits, active app users, map contributions, and public engagement with accessibility data.
Facilitate regional participation leading up to Sugamya Sarvekshan and other accessibility campaigns.
Organise volunteer engagement activities and regional participation platforms to strengthen continuity and ownership within the ecosystem.
Build and maintain relationships with government departments, Commissioners’ offices, public institutions, National Institutes, transport authorities, and urban local bodies.
Support engagement processes including meetings, presentations, proposals, follow-ups, documentation, and coordination for accessibility initiatives.
Develop and manage partnerships with CSOs, OPDs, academic institutions, CSR partners, industry bodies, volunteering organisations, and research institutions.
Facilitate collaborative projects, pilot programmes, MoUs, and joint initiatives to advance accessibility and inclusion goals.
Share regional accessibility audit outputs and insights with partner organisations to strengthen collaborative use of accessibility data.
Conduct orientations, sensitisation sessions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements to improve uptake and sustained use of the YTA application.
Coordinate transport accessibility sensitization engagements and awareness activities.
Represent the organization in regional forums, consultations, and advocacy spaces related to accessibility and disability inclusion.
Support regional communication, documentation, and dissemination efforts related to accessibility initiatives and campaigns.
Track regional progress against program targets and maintain accurate documentation of activities, partnerships, and outputs.
Coordinate with internal teams, Fellows, volunteers, and partners to ensure timely implementation of regional activities.
Prepare periodic reports, engagement summaries, partnership updates, and implementation documentation.
Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting processes for program review and strategic planning.
Contribution towards regional YTA audit, app user, and mapping targets.
Number and quality of stakeholder engagements, orientations, and sensitization sessions conducted.
Number of active partnerships, collaborations, and institutional engagements established.
Government engagement and support for accessibility initiatives in the region.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Development Studies, Urban Studies, Disability Studies, Sociology, or related fields.
3–6 years of experience in program coordination, partnerships, advocacy, community mobilization, or stakeholder engagement.
Experience working with disability inclusion, accessibility, urban governance, civic participation, or community-based initiatives is preferred.
Familiarity with government systems, civil society engagement, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Proficiency in English and relevant regional language(s).
