Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer with expertise in servicing and maintenance of mechanical parts of packaging machines. The candidate will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, breakdown support, and repair of packaging equipment at customer sites to ensure smooth machine operation and minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain packaging machines at customer locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in packaging machinery.
- Repair and replace mechanical components such as gears, bearings, chains, belts, rollers, shafts, seals, pneumatic assemblies, and conveyors.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Conduct machine inspections and identify potential mechanical failures.
- Ensure proper machine alignment, calibration, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with customers to resolve technical service issues promptly.
- Prepare service reports and maintenance documentation after each visit.
- Support machine trials, commissioning, and production startup activities.
- Maintain service tools, spare parts inventory, and equipment records.
- Follow safety procedures and company service standards during all operations.
- Provide technical guidance and basic operational training to machine operators when required.
- Travel to client sites for machine installation, servicing, maintenance, and technical support.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in packaging machines.
- Experience in troubleshooting rotary, conveyor-based, and automated packaging equipment.
- Understanding of pneumatics and basic electrical systems is preferred.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Willingness to travel for onsite service support.
Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in servicing packaging machines or industrial machinery.
- Experience in FMCG, food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, or automation industry preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with pouch packing, filling, sealing, labeling, or wrapping machines.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and machine breakdown analysis.
Working Conditions:
- Field service role involving regular travel to customer sites.
- May require emergency breakdown support and flexible working hours.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
