About the Role
Narayana e-Techno School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Science Teacher who can make History, Geography, Civics, and Economics engaging and easy to understand. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to encourage students to think critically.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons as per the school curriculum.
- Teach concepts across History, Geography, Civics, and Economics effectively.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, presentations, and teaching resources.
- Use interactive activities, discussions, maps, case studies, and real-life examples to enhance learning.
- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical, communication, and research skills.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, and examinations.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide timely feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional academic support where required.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage students to participate in discussions, projects, debates, and activities.
- Maintain accurate academic and student-performance records.
- Communicate with parents regarding students' progress when required.
- Collaborate with coordinators and other teachers for academic planning.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, training sessions, and other academic activities.
Candidate Profile
- B.A./M.A. in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a reputed school is preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
- Comfortable using digital teaching tools and technology.
