A site engineer's responsibilities revolve around the supervision and management of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to design specifications. This involves a wide range of tasks, from planning and coordination to quality control and problem-solving.

Ø Project Planning and Management:
- Interpret client requirements and technical specifications
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and control panels
- Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
- Conduct feasibility studies and load calculations
Ø Execution & Site Coordination
- Supervise installation of electrical components like transformers, switchgear, cable trays, and earthing systems
- Ensure work aligns with approved drawings and safety standards
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams
- Resolve on-site technical issues and provide engineering support
Ø Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain project documentation including drawings, test reports, and inspection logs
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, IS standards, and safety regulations
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and QA/QC checklists
- Assist in preparing BOQs and material submittals
Ø Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct pre-commissioning and final testing of electrical systems
- Verify insulation resistance, continuity, and functionality of circuits
- Coordinate energization with utility providers
- Document test results and prepare commissioning reports
Ø Procurement & Vendor Management
- Raise material requisitions based on project needs
- Evaluate vendor quotations and technical submittals
- Track delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials
- Inspect received items for quality and conformity
Ø Reporting & Client Interaction
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Attend client meetings and present technical updates
- Address client queries and incorporate feedback into execution
- Support billing and measurement verification for electrical works
