Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer
Experience: 8+ Years
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Weekends Off)
Office Location: Godrej IT Park, Vikhroli
Role Summary
The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining detailed project schedules to ensure timely execution of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, tracking project progress, identifying schedule risks, and supporting project management through accurate forecasting, reporting, and schedule optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Establish project baselines, milestones, and look-ahead schedules.
- Monitor project progress and analyze schedule variances against baseline plans.
- Perform Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and identify potential schedule risks and delays.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams for schedule updates and progress tracking.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, and management presentations.
- Support resource planning, manpower forecasting, and project recovery planning.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule insights to management.
- Maintain planning documentation, baseline revisions, and project reporting records.
- Support project controls and reporting functions throughout the project lifecycle.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Primavera P6 Certification / PMP / PMI-SP certification preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in planning and scheduling within EPC, Oil & Gas, Offshore.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Advanced Excel, and reporting tools Knowledge of planning principles, project controls, and progress measurement systems.
