The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Technician is responsible for inspecting and preparing Royal Enfield motorcycles before they are handed over to customers. The technician ensures that each motorcycle meets the company’s high-quality standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations. This role is crucial in ensuring that every Royal Enfield motorcycle is in optimal working condition, providing a seamless experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Delivery Inspection:
- Perform a detailed inspection of new Royal Enfield motorcycles as per the standard PDI checklist.
- Verify that all components (engine, brakes, lights, electronics, suspension, etc.) are functioning properly.
- Check fluid levels, tire pressure, and battery health.
- Ensure the motorcycle is free of defects or damages.
- Testing and Diagnostics:
- Conduct test rides to evaluate the performance of the motorcycle and ensure it meets Royal Enfield’s quality standards.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify any mechanical, electrical, or software issues, and resolve them promptly.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect the motorcycle for exterior finish, paintwork, and any cosmetic defects.
- Ensure that all accessories and additional equipment requested by the customer are properly installed.
- Final Preparation:
- Clean and polish the motorcycle to ensure it’s in pristine condition before delivery.
- Prepare the necessary documentation for the delivery of the vehicle to the customer.
