About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Architect to lead the technical vision and architecture of a cloud-native healthcare SaaS platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will define system architecture, develop production-ready code, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and high-performing applications.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing enterprise SaaS platforms, modern cloud architectures, and healthcare technology solutions while mentoring engineering teams and driving technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall product and system architecture.
- Design scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Develop production-quality code using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Lead architecture decisions across backend, frontend, mobile, data, and infrastructure.
- Create architecture documentation, technical standards, and design decisions.
- Mentor engineering teams through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Design secure APIs and healthcare integrations.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and production reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Participate in production support and incident response when required.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of Product Architect, Solution Architect, or Principal Engineer experience.
- Strong experience designing enterprise SaaS products.
- Expert knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, CloudFront, Cognito, IAM, Aurora PostgreSQL, and related cloud services.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience with React and modern web application development.
- Strong PostgreSQL database design and optimization experience.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
- Infrastructure as Code experience using AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Experience working in HIPAA-compliant environments.
- Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, or X12.
- Experience building EHR/EMR or healthcare SaaS platforms.
- React Native and Expo experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of modern TypeScript frameworks and serverless architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
