Job Description for Design Engineer at Safex Fire Services Ltd., Mumbai

Candidates responsible for - 2D/3D CAD, Solid modelling, Surface modelling, Sheetmetal modelling, Assembly, Drafting, GD&T, Reverse engineering, making BOM of components
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop Fire Detection & Suppression Systems (FDSS) and Fire Alarm Protection Systems (FAPS) for commercial vehicle OEMs.
· Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T as per automotive standards.
· Design pipe routing, hose assemblies, wiring harnesses, and system integration layouts.
· Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering documentation, and revision records.
· Conduct DMU reviews, DFMEA activities, and design validation for product reliability and compliance. · Process ECNs and manage drawings through PLM/PDM systems.
· Coordinate with OEMs for design reviews, approvals, and technical support.
· Develop Excel/Python-based automation tools to improve engineering efficiency.
Qualification & Requirement:
- Qualification: Mechanical Engineer/ Minimum Experience: 5-7 years
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and automotive design processes.
Salary:
CTC 5-8 LPA (depending on candidate)
(Local train pass shall be provided. Above CTC includes EPF, paid leaves and annual bonus)
Office timings: 10am-6:30pm (Mon-Fri) & 10am-4pm (Saturdays)
