Delhi Public School is seeking a proactive and experienced IT In-Charge to oversee the school's IT infrastructure and ensure the smooth functioning of all technology-related operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing computer systems, networks, ERP, CCTV, smart classrooms, website coordination, cybersecurity, and providing technical support to staff and students.
Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure Management
- Manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including computers, laptops, printers, servers, networking devices, and internet connectivity.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of all IT systems across the campus.
- Coordinate installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Network & Systems Administration
- Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, firewalls, and network security.
- Monitor server performance, data storage, backups, and system availability.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues promptly.
School ERP Management
- Administer the School ERP system and provide technical support to all departments.
- Coordinate ERP updates, user creation, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure data integrity and smooth functioning of ERP modules.
Smart Classrooms & Digital Learning
- Maintain interactive panels, projectors, smart classroom equipment, audio-visual systems, and digital teaching resources.
- Provide technical assistance during online classes, presentations, examinations, and school events.
Website & Digital Platforms
- Coordinate with website developers for timely updates to the school website.
- Upload admission-related content, circulars, announcements, and event information.
- Support digital communication platforms used by the school.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Ensure the security of the school's IT systems, networks, and confidential data.
- Implement antivirus protection, firewall policies, user access controls, and regular data backups.
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity risks and system vulnerabilities.
CCTV & Security Systems
- Maintain and monitor CCTV surveillance systems and access control systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repairs.
Technical Support
- Provide day-to-day IT support to management, staff, and students.
- Resolve hardware, software, printing, email, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain an IT helpdesk log and ensure timely resolution of support requests.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Coordinate with IT vendors for procurement, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and warranty services.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and accessories.
- Prepare purchase indents for IT equipment and monitor stock levels.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain documentation of IT policies, network diagrams, asset registers, and software licenses.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements and school IT policies.
- Prepare periodic reports on IT performance and infrastructure.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the school during CBSE Board examinations, admissions, annual functions, and other events requiring IT assistance.
- Train staff on the effective use of school technology and digital platforms.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal or Management from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, MCSA, Microsoft, Cisco, Google Workspace, or Cybersecurity will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT administration, preferably in a CBSE school, educational institution, or corporate environment.
- Experience in School ERP systems, networking, CCTV, and IT infrastructure management is preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking, and system administration.
- Experience with School ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration.
- Basic knowledge of website management and digital platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
