Job Description – Quality Checker (Bakery & Cake Factory)
Key Responsibilities:1. Raw Material Checking
- Check the quality of flour, sugar, cream, chocolate, eggs, packaging materials, etc.
- Verify expiry dates and storage conditions.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
2. Production Quality Monitoring
- Monitor cake and bakery production processes.
- Ensure proper recipe, weight, shape, texture, and baking standards are followed.
- Check mixing, baking, cooling, slicing, and packing processes.
3. Finished Product Inspection
- Inspect cakes, pastries, bread, cream rolls, and other products before dispatch.
- Check:
- Product appearance
- Taste and freshness
- Weight and size
- Garnishing and decoration
- Packaging quality
- Batch coding and labeling
4. Hygiene & Food Safety
- Ensure workers follow hygiene standards:
- Hair cap
- Gloves
- Apron
- Hand washing
- Monitor cleanliness of machines, trays, tables, and production areas.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI and food safety standards.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality check records and reports.
- Report quality issues or damaged products to seniors.
- Maintain rejection and wastage records.
- Assist during audits and inspections.
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Store departments.
- Stop dispatch of damaged or non-standard products.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of bakery and cake products
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Attention to detail
- Basic documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to identify product defects
- Team coordination skills
Qualification:
- Diploma / Degree in food technology preferred
- Experience in bakery, food, or cake factory preferred
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
