JD-Assistant Manager Sales

Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and technically sound Sales professional to join our high-performing Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial products/solutions selling and the ability to identify, develop, and close business opportunities across assigned territories. You will be the face of the Organization to our customers and play a key role in expanding our market leadership in process cooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned territories across industrial and manufacturing sectors.
- Manage the complete B2B sales cycle — from lead generation, prospecting, and technical presentations to quotation, negotiation, and order closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including Purchase Managers, Plant Heads, and Maintenance Engineers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for chillers, PACs, and cooling solutions.
- Conduct on-site visits to understand customer cooling requirements and provide appropriate technical recommendations.
- Coordinate with the application engineering and service teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to feed insights back to the product and marketing teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM records including lead pipeline, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to generate leads and build brand visibility.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B/industrial sales — preferably in chillers, HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchangers, compressors, or related capital equipment.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment.
- Strong ability to understand customer technical requirements and translate them into effective product solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM tools is a plus.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Prior experience selling process cooling equipment, industrial chillers, or thermal management solutions.
- Familiarity with industries such as automotive, pharma, food & beverages, plastics, rubber, induction heating, or machine tools.
- Understanding of refrigeration cycles, heat transfer principles, and chiller sizing/selection.
- Existing customer network in the industrial/manufacturing domain.
- Experience handling large accounts and long-cycle capital equipment sales.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
