Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic, persuasive, and goal-oriented Academic Counselor who can effectively interact with prospective students, understand their career aspirations, and guide them toward the most suitable training programs. The primary responsibility of the counselor is to convert inquiries into admissions through effective counseling, follow-ups, relationship building, and career guidance.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a consultative approach, and a passion for helping students achieve their career goals while contributing to the organization's admission targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling & Admissions
- Connect with prospective students through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, social media, and walk-ins.
- Understand students' educational background, career goals, and skill gaps.
- Counsel students regarding available courses, certifications, internships, placement opportunities, and career pathways.
- Explain course curriculum, fee structure, batch schedules, training methodology, and placement assistance programs.
- Address student queries and objections effectively to facilitate enrollment decisions.
- Convert leads and inquiries into successful admissions by building trust and providing appropriate guidance.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets assigned by the management.
Lead Management & Follow-Ups
- Handle leads generated through digital marketing campaigns, referrals, seminars, events, and walk-ins.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students through calls and messages.
- Track and update lead status in CRM or admission management software.
- Ensure timely response to all inquiries and maintain a high conversion ratio.
- Re-engage inactive or undecided leads and encourage enrollment.
Student Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Provide career counseling and guidance regarding industry trends and job opportunities.
- Assist students throughout the admission process, documentation, and fee submission.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for newly enrolled students.
- Coordinate with academic and placement teams to provide accurate information to students.
Business Development & Outreach
- Participate in seminars, workshops, career fairs, college visits, and admission drives.
- Promote institute programs and placement achievements.
- Generate referrals through existing students and alumni networks.
- Support marketing initiatives aimed at increasing admissions and brand visibility.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of leads, admissions, counseling sessions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly admission reports.
- Monitor admission pipeline and share progress updates with management.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with admission procedures.
Required Skills

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Experience in Academic Counseling, Admissions, Education Sales, Career Counseling, or Student Advisory roles preferred.
- Freshers with exceptional communication and sales aptitude may also apply.
