About the Role
We are looking for a Creative Educator who is naturally curious, hands-on and genuinely enjoys working with children.
This is not a conventional Art Teacher role. We are looking for someone who understands creative fundamentals such as painting, colour theory, composition, form and visual expression, but is equally excited to explore new materials, techniques and creative possibilities.
You should enjoy making things, experimenting, learning and bringing creative ideas to life while being able to turn those ideas into engaging learning experiences for children.
Most importantly, you should genuinely enjoy working with children and understand that every child has a different way of learning, creating and expressing themselves.
What You'll Do
● Conduct creative classes, workshops and hands-on learning experiences for children across different age groups.
● Introduce children to different creative mediums, materials, techniques and processes.
● Explain creative concepts in a simple, engaging and age-appropriate manner.
● Encourage experimentation, independent thinking and self-expression rather than focusing only on a finished outcome.
● Adapt activities according to children's age, abilities, interests and individual needs.
● Create a warm, encouraging and well-managed environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves.
● Provide individual guidance while confidently managing groups.
● Prepare, organise and manage creative materials before, during and after sessions.
● Explore new creative mediums, materials and techniques.
● Contribute ideas for new classes, workshops, activities and experiential programmes.
● Support exhibitions, events, installations and special creative programmes.
● Work closely with the team to continuously improve and develop the studio's creative programmes.
● Maintain a clean, organised and safe learning environment.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
● Genuinely enjoys working with children- this is the most important requirement.
● Has prior experience teaching, facilitating or working with children.
● Has strong creative fundamentals and an understanding of painting, colour theory, composition, form and visual aesthetics.
● Is curious about different creative and hands-on mediums.
● Enjoys experimenting and is willing to learn new techniques and processes.
● Can communicate creative concepts clearly and make them easy for children to understand.
● Is patient, warm, approachable and encouraging.
● Can confidently engage and manage children across different age groups.
● Can adapt when a child needs additional support or a different approach.
● Understands that every child's creative process and learning style is different.
● Takes ownership of preparing and conducting sessions.
● Is organised, responsible and comfortable working collaboratively with a small creative team.
