Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and data-driven Planning & Billing Engineer with 5 years and more of experience to join our project management team. In this role, you will be entirely responsible for project scheduling, cost control, structural billing, and material reconciliation.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between site execution, finance, and procurement—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and tracked transparently using our enterprise software.
Only candidates residing in Adalaj, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar or nearby are eligible to apply. Applications from candidates outside these locations will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & Progress Monitoring: Develop detailed baseline project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6. Track weekly progress, identify execution bottlenecks, and issue MIS reports comparing planned vs. actual progress.
- Billing & Quantity Surveying: Measure site work, verify contractor/vendor Running Account (RA) bills, process advances, and manage retention amounts strictly according to contractual terms.
- Budget Tracking & Cash Flow: Assist in preparing initial (O-Level) and detailed project budgets. Conduct monthly budget reviews to track deviations, justify variances, and maintain project cash flow statements.
- Material Reconciliation: Perform rigorous monthly reconciliation for all core engineering materials to identify variances, leakages, and wastage.
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Support the technical evaluation of sub-agencies, finalize contract terms, and manage the execution of work orders.
- ERP Data Management: Maintain live data entry within the company's ERP platform, ensuring perfect synchronization between billing, inventory, and finance modules.
- Project Closeout: Lead the complete technical and financial closure of projects, including settling final bills, verifying as-built drawings, and managing the release of retention funds.
Requirements & Skills:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related technical field).
· Experience: 5 years and more of solid experience in construction planning, billing, and quantity surveying.
· Software Mastery: High proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, and measurement sheets).
- Systems: Prior hands-on experience working with an integrated construction ERP system.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of BOQ (Bill of Quantities), rate analysis, construction contracts, and site measurement protocols.
- Core Competencies: Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical problem-solving skills, and strong communication required for managing external contractors and consultants.
