As our SQL DBA, you will be responsible for the health, security, and performance of our relational database infrastructure. You will work closely with database developers, system engineers, and product teams to ensure high availability, design efficient database structures, and implement reliable backup and disaster recovery plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize indexes, queries, and execution plans to ensure peak efficiency.
- Maintenance & Operations: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, index defragmentation, and database integrity checks.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Configure and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, Mirroring, Failover Cluster Instances).
- Security & Compliance: Manage user access permissions, data encryption, and security protocols to align with industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, deadlock scenarios, and system outages promptly.
- Upgrades & Patching: Plan and execute SQL Server installation, patching, upgrades, and migration strategies with minimal downtime.
- Collaboration: Partner with development teams to review code, advise on database schema design, and optimize T-SQL scripts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience as a SQL Database Administrator (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in T-SQL, store procedures, triggers, and query tuning.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
- Familiarity with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a strong plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or MCSA/MCSE (preferred, but not required).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage on-call duties when necessary.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
