The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the school's transportation operations, ensuring the safe and timely movement of students and staff. The role also includes supporting school administrative activities and maintaining transport-related records, compliance, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Management
- Manage and supervise daily school transportation operations.
- Plan and monitor bus routes, schedules, and vehicle utilization.
- Coordinate with drivers, attendants, parents, and school authorities.
- Ensure student safety during transportation.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, insurance, and fitness certificates.
- Maintain transport records, fuel consumption reports, and driver documentation.
- Handle transportation-related complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with school transport regulations and safety standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day school administration activities.
- Maintain office records, files, and reports.
- Coordinate with parents, staff, and external agencies when required.
- Support admissions, student records, and administrative documentation.
- Prepare and submit transport and administrative reports to management.
- Perform other administrative duties assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Experience in transportation management, logistics, administration, or school operations preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (HMV) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Salary: 15000 - 25000
Experience: Freshers with relevant skills may apply; experienced candidates preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
