About the Role
We are seeking a committed and dynamic Primary School Teacher to teach English, Mathematics, and Science to students in Grades 1–5. This role requires an educator who can build strong foundational skills, foster curiosity, and create an engaging, student-centered classroom environment.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching young learners and capable of adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lessons in English, Math, and Science in line with the prescribed curriculum
- Use a variety of teaching methods (activities, storytelling, experiential learning, etc.) to enhance student understanding
- Integrate real-life examples to make concepts meaningful and relatable
Student Development & Assessment
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through tests, assignments, and classroom observations
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where needed
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement effective classroom management strategies
- Promote discipline, respect, and collaborative learning among students
Parent & School Communication
- Conduct regular parent-teacher interactions and provide progress updates
- Maintain accurate student records, reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school meetings and events
Co-curricular Involvement
- Contribute to the overall development of students beyond academics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Mathematics, and Science
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Prior experience in teaching primary grades
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and learning materials
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centric approach
- Basic proficiency in using digital tools for teaching
