Job Summary
Oncowin Cancer Center is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at the S.G. Highway location. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of relevant experience in hospital, retail, clinical, or oncology pharmacy and should be well-versed in prescription handling, medicine dispensing, inventory management, and patient coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as per valid prescriptions and hospital protocols.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, frequency, drug interactions, allergies, and other medication-related concerns.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and dispensing of medicines as per applicable guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of medicine dispensing, stock movement, and pharmacy transactions.
- Monitor medicine inventory, stock levels, batch numbers, and expiry dates.
- Ensure timely replenishment of medicines and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Handle high-alert and oncology-related medicines with appropriate care and documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication requirements.
- Provide patients and caregivers with appropriate information regarding medicine usage, dosage, storage, and precautions.
- Ensure proper billing and documentation of pharmacy transactions.
- Follow all pharmacy, hospital, safety, and quality-control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and discipline within the pharmacy area.
- Assist in stock audits, expiry checks, and periodic inventory verification.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Support the pharmacy team in day-to-day operations and other assigned responsibilities.
Eligibility & Requirements
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in hospital, retail, clinical, or oncology pharmacy will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, dispensing procedures, and inventory management.
- Basic computer knowledge and pharmacy/Hospital Information System experience preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle a patient-facing environment.
- Candidates who can commute conveniently to S.G. Highway, Ahmedabad will be preferred.
