Position Overview
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operation Head to lead overall operational functions and contribute to strategic business development efforts.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing operations of the executed projects / solutions and ensuring operational excellence by effective and efficient SOPs.
- Leading the business development division and supporting business growth by identifying new project opportunities.
- Participating in tendering activities, developing client relationship, and coordinating proposal submissions.
- The candidate is expected to take up team leadership and also maintain client coordination.
- Strong exposure in handling government and PSU projects is required, including coordination with authorities, attending client meetings, and ensuring statutory compliance.
- The role also includes supporting business growth by identifying new project opportunities, participating in tendering activities, developing client relationships, and coordinating proposal submissions.
- The candidate will be expected to take leadership of the operations and business development functions.
- Ensuring effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders, including direct interaction with government authorities and clients.
Education / Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree (BE / B.Tech) or Master’s Degree (M.Tech) in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering – Mandatory
- MBA / PGDM in Operations, Project Management, or related discipline – Preferred
- Additional relevant qualifications, technical certifications, or professional training will be considered an added advantage
Experience Required
- 15 to 20 years of overall experience, including significant experience in Operations / Project Execution / Business Development
- Strong experience in Government Projects, PSU Projects, Municipal Projects, and Urban Local Body Projects
- Experience in EPC Projects, Infrastructure Projects, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, and Environmental Projects
- Strong exposure in handling Government tenders, project execution, and authority coordination
- Exposure to client handling & business development will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities – Operations
- Lead and manage overall operations including project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
- Ensure project completion within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Ensure effective coordination between Engineering, Purchase, Stores, Finance, HR, and Commercial teams
- Monitor manpower deployment, project progress, productivity, and resource utilization
- Implement operational excellence through proper SOPs and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and quality standards
- Manage vendors and subcontractors for procurement and project execution
- Conduct regular site visits, review progress, and resolve operational issues
- Prepare and submit MIS reports to management (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Support billing, documentation, and project closure activities
- Oversee operations of executed projects and ensure efficiency and performance
Government Project & Authority Coordination
- Must have strong experience in handling Government tenders, project execution, and compliance requirements
- Liaison with Municipal Corporations, MIDC, PMRDA, PWD, CPCB, MPCB, Water Supply Departments, and Urban Local Bodies
- Coordinate with Government authorities for approvals, inspections, and compliance
- Attend meetings with Government officials, consultants, and client representatives
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance is maintained
Business Development Responsibilities
- Lead Business Development function and identify new project opportunities
- Participate in tendering process including bid preparation and submission
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Coordinate with clients for project discussions and opportunities
- Support company growth through strategic planning and expansion
- Ensure profitability and revenue growth targets are achieved
Leadership Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership to operations and project teams
- Ensure team performance, productivity, and accountability
- Mentor and develop team members
- Ensure coordination between all departments
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
