Job Description – Legal Manager
Position Overview
The Legal Manager will be responsible for providing end-to-end legal support to the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, minimizing legal risks, and supporting strategic business decisions. The role requires expertise in corporate, commercial, labour, data privacy, and industry-specific laws, along with the ability to draft, review, negotiate, and execute a wide range of legal documents.
Key Responsibilities
● Draft, review, vet, and negotiate commercial and corporate agreements.
● Draft and manage corporate documents about corporate structuring and governance.
● Coordinate with company secretary on statutory filings and compliance requirements.
● Develop and update labour and HR legal framework.
● Provide advisory on labour compliance-related matters.
● Conduct legal due diligence for real estate and land due diligence.
● Ensure all business operations comply with industry-specific legal compliance.
● Prepare, send, and respond to legal content, notices and representation.
● Liaise with external legal counsel where required.
● Draft and maintain risk, data, and website policies
● Work closely with finance, HR, business development, operations, and technology teams, as well as external legal advisors, auditors, landlords, and regulatory authorities.
● Monitor and advise on changes in commercial, labour, consumer protection, company, and privacy laws, industry standards, and sector-related regulatory frameworks
● Ensure full legal compliance across all operating locations.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
● 5–10 years of professional experience in corporate or commercial legal roles.
● Strong knowledge of:
o Corporate contracting
o Employment law
o Real estate and lease structures
o Stakeholder agreements
o Data privacy and website regulations
● Experience working with startups, FEC, hospitality, retail, or multi-location businesses is an advantage.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹83,000.00 per month
