Summary:
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will engage in the design, construction, testing, and deployment of cloud application solutions that seamlessly integrate both cloud and non-cloud infrastructures. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the architecture is viable, secure, and performs optimally, while also creating proofs of concept to validate your designs. You will be responsible for deploying infrastructure and platform environments, ensuring that all components work together effectively to meet organizational goals and client needs. Your role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow Order Management solutions to support order capture, validation, orchestration, fulfillment, and closure
Implement end-to-end order lifecycle workflows, including decomposition, dependencies, fallouts, and retries
Configure and customize Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Workflows related to order processing
Integrate ServiceNow Order Management with upstream and downstream systems (CRM, ERP, billing, inventory, fulfillment systems) using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server
Support order validation rules, pricing checks, eligibility, and serviceability logic
Handle order exceptions, fallouts, and amendments, ensuring minimal impact to business operations
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to gather requirements and propose optimal solutions
Participate in testing, defect resolution, deployment, and production support activities
Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines
Create technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Order Management
Solid understanding of order lifecycle concepts (capture, validation, orchestration, fulfillment, cancellation, amendments)
Experience with ServiceNow platform development, including:
Flow Designer & Workflows
Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes
Catalog Items and Record Producers
Experience with system integrations using REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub, and web services
Knowledge of data modeling and CMDB concepts
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Good to Have
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or other ServiceNow certifications
Experience in Telecom, Media, Utilities, or Enterprise Order Management domains
Knowledge of ITSM, CSM, or FSM modules alongside Order Management
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing in ServiceNow
