Job Summary
OPAA Realty is looking for a Legal Counsel / Lawyer to manage the company’s legal, property, documentation, contract, compliance, and dispute-related matters. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of real estate and property laws and be comfortable working directly with management and external legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle legal matters related to real estate, property transactions, and development projects.
- Conduct legal due diligence and verification of property documents, ownership records, title documents, sale deeds, registry papers, etc.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, MoUs, sale/purchase agreements, lease agreements, vendor agreements, and other contracts.
- Identify legal risks and provide practical legal advice to management.
- Handle and respond to legal notices, customer disputes, property disputes, and recovery matters.
- Coordinate with external advocates, law firms, government authorities, and other legal professionals.
- Manage litigation matters and maintain records of cases, notices, hearings, and legal deadlines.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all legal records.
- Support the sales, project, finance, and management teams on legal and contractual matters.
- Monitor applicable real estate and business laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Assist management with any other legal matters related to the company’s operations.
Requirements
- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Valid Bar Council enrolment, where applicable.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate, property, construction, or corporate legal work.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Property Law, Real Estate Law, Contract Law, Civil Law, and legal compliance.
- Good experience in legal drafting, contract review, and property documentation.
- Strong legal research, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple legal matters and deadlines.
- Experience working with external advocates and government authorities will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in Noida / Greater Noida / Delhi-NCR real estate will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of local property documentation and registration procedures.
- Practical, proactive, and business-oriented approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: ₹684,603.63 - ₹1,640,719.96 per year
Work Location: In person
