The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, tidiness, and aesthetic appeal of all assigned areas within the facility. This role is crucial in providing a comfortable, safe, and hygienic environment for guests, residents, or visitors. The associate will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, adhere to established standards, and contribute to a positive overall experience.
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms, public areas, offices, and other designated spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
- Change bed linens, make beds neatly, and replenish towels and other amenities according to brand standards or facility requirements.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, showers, sinks, and floors, ensuring all fixtures are sparkling and supplies are restocked.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Inspect and report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed in rooms or public areas to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries politely and efficiently, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies, including the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, reporting shortages to management.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects, special events, or other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
- Process lost and found items according to established procedures.
