Compensation: ₹50,000 – ₹75,000 per month depending on qualifications and experience

Position Summary
MMH CPA Professional Corporation is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Ahmedabad office.
The Accounting Associate will support Canadian accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, and compliance engagements. The successful candidate will work closely with engagement partners and team members to prepare accurate, timely, and high-quality deliverables for Canadian clients.
This position is ideal for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, coachable, and motivated to develop their accounting skills in an international professional environment.
The successful candidate will gradually take on increased responsibility, including managing portions of client engagements, communicating with clients, researching accounting and tax issues, and independently completing assigned work.
Primary Responsibilities
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for assisting with a variety of Canadian accounting and taxation engagements, including:
Bookkeeping and Accounting
- Recording accounting transactions.
- Preparing journal entries.
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Reviewing client records for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintaining organized electronic working papers.
- Preparing year-end working paper files.
- Preparing financial statements.
Tax Compliance
- Preparing personal income tax returns.
- Preparing corporate income tax returns.
- Preparing GST/HST returns.
- Preparing and processing client payroll and related filings
- Reviewing tax documentation for completeness.
- Assisting with CRA correspondence and information requests.
Client Engagement Support
- Supporting engagement partners with client assignments.
- Communicating with Canadian clients as required.
Research and Problem Solving
- Researching accounting, tax, and business-related questions.
- Identifying issues and bringing them to the attention of engagement partners.
- Developing solutions based on available information.
- Learning and applying Canadian accounting and taxation concepts.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Formal education in accounting
- CPA designation or CPA qualification is an asset but not required
- Professional working proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including debit and credit, journal entries, trial balances, financial statements, double entry accounting.
- Ability to work independently while following firm procedures.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Fresh graduates with strong accounting fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
Preferred technical skills include experience with QuickBooks, CaseWare, TaxCycle, Similar accounting and tax applications
