Job Summary:
The Psychological Counselor provides professional counseling services to students and staff to support their emotional, psychological, behavioral, and mental well-being. The role involves conducting individual and group counseling sessions, crisis intervention, psychological assessments, awareness programs, and referrals while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling for emotional, academic, personal, and psychological concerns.
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluate clients' mental health needs.
- Develop individualized counseling and intervention plans.
- Offer crisis intervention and immediate psychological support during emergencies.
- Maintain confidential counseling records and prepare required reports.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, emotional well-being, and life skills.
- Collaborate with faculty, parents, healthcare professionals, and external mental health experts when necessary.
- Identify students or employees requiring specialized psychiatric care and facilitate appropriate referrals.
- Promote preventive mental health initiatives and wellness programs across the institution.
- Monitor client progress and provide follow-up counseling sessions.
- Ensure ethical counseling practices in accordance with professional guidelines.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Applied Psychology.
- Additional certification in Counseling or Psychotherapy is preferred.
- Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is preferred for applicable roles.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in psychological counseling, preferably in an educational institution, hospital, or corporate environment.
- Experience in student counseling, crisis management, and mental health interventions is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
