Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ETL Testing Engineer with Python expertise to join our data engineering and QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL/data warehouse testing, along with Python-based test automation, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and performance across pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end ETL testing for data pipelines and data warehouse systems
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for data validation
- Use Python for automation of ETL testing and data validation processes
- Validate data movement between source systems and target systems
- Execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, and transformations
- Perform data reconciliation, regression testing, and UAT support
- Work closely with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
- Ensure data quality and compliance with business rules
- Support performance and batch testing of ETL processes
Required Skills
- Strong experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
- Hands-on experience with SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations)
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as:
- Informatica / Talend / SSIS / DataStage
- Experience in data validation and data quality testing
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks
- Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, etc.)
