Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Have an experience in working on all the range of commercial vehicles - >3.5T to 55T
Understands the vehicle performance related parameters of IC Engine and able to evaluate suitability/selection to vehicle & its application
Domain expert in design & development of engine support systems – Air Intake, Engine cooling, Exhaust & Fuel system & Engine Mounts.
Should have extensive knowledge on DFMEA & Linked with DVP
Should have designed & developed above systems right from scratch till productionization
Should have worked minimum 10 years on engine peripheral system design & development
Should have thorough knowledge of Truck & bus applications and ability to capture field inputs while designing the system
Well familiar with Product development process and should meet all the product quality requirements

General Requirements
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Product Development, preferably in the Commercial Vehicle industry.
Proven expertise in engine peripheral systems, including Air Intake, Engine Cooling, Exhaust, Fuel System, and Engine Mounts, from concept to production.
Strong understanding of IC engine integration, vehicle packaging, thermal management, and performance requirements across Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles.
Hands-on experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, GD&T, Design Reviews, and product validation methodologies.
Thorough knowledge of Mahindra/New Product Development (NPD) processes or equivalent automotive product development frameworks.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams involving Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Supplier Development, Testing, and Program Management.
Strong exposure to supplier technical reviews, cost optimization, value engineering (VE/VA), and localization initiatives.
Ability to analyze field concerns, drive root cause analysis, and implement robust engineering solutions to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Familiarity with automotive standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems applicable to commercial vehicles.
Strong project management, stakeholder management, and technical leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring engineering teams.
Proficiency in CAD/CAE and PLM tools (CATIA/Creo, Teamcenter/Windchill or equivalent) along with MS Office.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive technical decision-making.
Willingness to travel to Mahindra plants, supplier locations, and customer sites as required.
