- Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other systemic treatments; monitoring vital signs and symptoms; managing pain and side effects; and performing assessments or triage in acute settings.
- Patient Education & Advocacy: Explaining treatment plans, disease processes, and potential complications to patients and families; advocating for patient rights and needs; and providing counseling to help patients cope with the emotional toll of cancer.
- Coordination & Documentation: Developing interdisciplinary care plans; maintaining detailed records of treatments and patient progress; coordinating referrals to specialists, support groups, or palliative care; and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
