Pattabhi Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is a leading agro-based manufacturing organization engaged in producing high-quality Rice Bran Oil, Poultry Feed, Fish Feed, and De-Oiled Rice Bran (DORB). We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in Profit & Loss Accounting, Financial Reporting, and General Accounting.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Accountant with hands-on experience in Profit & Loss Accounts, Financial Statements, General Ledger Management, and MIS Reporting. The ideal candidate should possess excellent accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements.
- Prepare Balance Sheet and Trial Balance.
- Maintain General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
- Perform monthly book closures and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate accounting entries and journal postings.
- Verify accounting transactions and supporting documents.
Profit & Loss Analysis
- Prepare detailed Profit & Loss reports.
- Analyze revenue, manufacturing costs, and operating expenses.
- Monitor departmental expenses and cost variances.
- Support management with profitability analysis.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Generate financial MIS reports for management review.
Accounts Management
- Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Vendor and Customer Ledger Reconciliation.
- Fixed Asset Accounting.
- Accruals and Provisions.
- Expense Verification and Accounting.
- Inter-company Reconciliation.
- Cash Flow Monitoring.
Taxation & Compliance
- Working knowledge of GST.
- Preparation of GST working papers.
- TDS deduction and reconciliation.
- Statutory compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors during Internal and Statutory Audits.
Reporting
- Monthly MIS Reports.
- Profitability Reports.
- Cost Analysis Reports.
- Budget vs Actual Analysis.
- Financial Performance Reports.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Profit & Loss Accounting.
- Excellent understanding of General Accounting Principles.
- Hands-on experience in Financial Statement Preparation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
Software Knowledge
- Tally Prime / ERP Accounting Software.
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
- MS Word.
- PowerPoint.
- ERP Systems (Preferred).
Educational Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com (Mandatory).
- CA Inter (Preferred).
- MBA Finance will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Profit & Loss Accounting.
- Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Agro Processing, or Edible Oil Industry is preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong exposure to manufacturing accounting.
- Experience in cost accounting and inventory accounting.
- Good understanding of financial controls.
- Ability to independently handle month-end and year-end closing.
- Capable of preparing management reports and financial analysis.
- Team player with a positive attitude and professional ethics.
