Position Summary
We are looking for a sincere, organized, and detail-oriented Accountant cum Store In-Charge who can independently manage accounting, billing, inventory, procurement coordination, stock control, store administration, and day-to-day operations of both the retail store and restaurant.
The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent inventory management skills, customer billing experience, and the ability to ensure smooth store operations with minimal supervision.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Accounting & Finance
- Maintain daily cash, bank, and petty cash transactions.
- Record all sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments accurately.
- Maintain books of accounts and accounting records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Reconcile cash collections, UPI payments, bank transactions, and POS sales.
- Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
- Monitor receivables and payables.
- Assist in GST compliance, documentation, and filing requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, accountants, consultants, and statutory authorities as required.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of financial records and supporting documents.
- Monitor operational expenses and highlight cost-saving opportunities.
B. Customer Billing & Cash Management
- Generate and process customer bills accurately for both the Retail Store and Akula's Organic Eatery.
- Handle billing through POS systems and ensure correct pricing of products and menu items.
- Collect payments through Cash, UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, Wallets, and other approved payment modes.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and tax invoices as applicable.
- Reconcile daily billing collections with POS reports and cash balances.
- Prepare daily sales and collection reports.
- Resolve billing-related customer queries and discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain records of discounts, promotional offers, complimentary items, refunds, and adjustments.
- Ensure zero revenue leakage through accurate billing and collection practices.
- Close daily billing counters and hand over collections as per company procedures.
C. Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all products, raw materials, consumables, and packaging materials.
- Record all inward and outward stock movements on a daily basis.
- Ensure timely stock entries in POS and inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Identify stock shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving items, and wastage.
- Maintain batch-wise and expiry-wise records wherever applicable.
- Generate inventory reports and stock valuation statements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent losses and damages.
- Monitor inventory consumption patterns and recommend improvements.
D. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders based on stock requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement.
- Verify purchase invoices against received materials.
- Ensure accurate Goods Receipt Note (GRN) entries.
- Maintain vendor master records and supplier documentation.
- Track supplier payments and outstanding balances.
- Resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, pricing, shortages, or damages.
- Support management in vendor negotiations and procurement planning.
E. Store & Restaurant Operations
- Supervise the daily operations of the retail store and restaurant.
- Open and close the premises as per standard operating procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, housekeeping, and proper maintenance of the store and restaurant.
- Monitor product displays, shelf replenishment, and merchandising standards.
- Ensure proper availability of products and raw materials at all times.
- Monitor expiry dates and product quality.
- Coordinate inventory requirements with the kitchen and store teams.
- Assist customers and resolve operational issues whenever required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and statutory requirements.
- Support management in implementing new systems and operational improvements.
F. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare Daily Sales Reports.
- Prepare Daily Cash Collection Reports.
- Prepare Inventory Movement Reports.
- Prepare Purchase and Expense Reports.
- Submit periodic business performance reports to management.
- Highlight operational concerns, inventory shortages, and financial exceptions proactively.
Educational Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com preferred.
- MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Accounting, Inventory Management, Retail Operations, Store Administration, or similar roles.
- Experience in Retail, Supermarkets, FMCG, Grocery Stores, Organic Stores, Restaurants, Food Service, or Hospitality sectors will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- MS Excel (Mandatory)
- Tally, Zoho Books, or similar Accounting Software

- Salary: As per qualification, experience, and industry standards.
