Job Title: Dispatcher
Location: Patiala, Punjab, India (On-site)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our trucking operations team in Patiala. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily freight movements, schedule drivers, and ensure timely and efficient delivery of loads. This role is essential for keeping our transportation network running smoothly and providing excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and schedule loads to company drivers and owner-operators
- Plan routes and optimize efficiency for on-time deliveries
- Communicate load details, pickup and delivery instructions to drivers
- Monitor truck locations and proactively resolve any delivery issues
- Maintain records of dispatch activity, driver hours, and delivery status
- Coordinate with customers and warehouse teams for smooth loading/unloading
- Handle driver inquiries and provide support throughout the day
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a dispatcher in a trucking or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of trucking routes, geography, and load planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with dispatch or TMS software (preferred)
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Flexible to work shifts, if required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
