About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented R&D Officer to join our Research & Development team in a mid-sized chemical manufacturing organization. The candidate will be responsible for product development, formulation improvement, process optimization, analytical support, and scale-up activities across multiple chemical and allied industry segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development activities for Specialty Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, Industrial Lubricants, Cosmetic Ingredients, Nutraceuticals, and API-related products.
- Carry out laboratory experiments, trials, and validation studies as per project requirements.
- Perform raw material evaluation, compatibility studies, and stability testing.
- Support pilot plant and production scale-up activities for newly developed products.
- Prepare technical documentation including SOPs, batch records, specifications, COAs, and development reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMP, and environmental standards.
- Maintain laboratory instruments, chemicals, and records in an organized manner.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of chemical synthesis, formulation development, and process chemistry.
- Familiarity with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, Karl Fischer, kinematic Viscometer, flash point , fire point etc.
- Exposure to GMP, GLP, ISO, and safety practices preferred.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. chem./M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic / Analytical / Industrial / Applied Chemistry preferred).
Experience Required
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in R&D within Chemical, Lubricant, Cosmetic, Nutraceutical, or Pharmaceutical API industries.
Preferred Industry Exposure
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following sectors will be preferred:

- Industrial Chemicals

- Cosmetics & Personal Care
- Food & Nutraceutical Ingredients
- Pharmaceutical APIs & Intermediates
Compensation
- Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and industry standards.
