The Store Assistant is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory of all materials required for cinema operations, including F&B items, housekeeping supplies, maintenance materials, and stationery. The role ensures accurate stock control and timely availability of materials while maintaining proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Inspect the quantity and quality of received items.
- Arrange and store materials systematically to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
- Issue materials to departments based on approved requisition slips.
- Maintain stock registers and update inventory records accurately.
- Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items to the Store In-Charge or Manager.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) practices where applicable.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for food items and other materials.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for material requirements.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), stock reports, and issue records.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist during monthly inventory audits and stock reconciliation.
- Minimize wastage, damage, and pilferage of materials.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock handling.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, and inventory software).
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of store documentation and reporting.
Qualification
- Any Bachelor's Degree or Diploma.
- Experience in Cinema, Retail, Hospitality, Restaurant, or Hotel industry is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Store Assistant or Store Executive.
- Experience in handling F&B inventory will be an added advantage.
Working Hours
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Candidate
- Physically fit to handle loading, unloading, and movement of store materials.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
