The Warehouse Supervisor will work with internal and external partners/stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the warehouse environment across the factory.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Management of day-to-day warehousing & logistics activities for Pune MFG Factory and other relevant Subcon Place.
Supervise a team of warehouse personnel to ensure effective receiving and delivery activities for the warehouse operations.
Effective Warehouse management of Spares and Components which can be handled by person.
Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met.
Maintain high inventory integrity and accuracy level to company targets.
Ensure zero stock variance for the factory region through accurate inventory tracking.
Ensure real time ERP/SAP & WMS (XL) update in accordance to the physical transaction performed.
Produce regular stock reports and KPI’s, as required, on daily, weekly and monthly basis, with improvement action plans.
Manage facility cycle count program to maintain accurate perpetual inventory and identify opportunities to improve inventory quality.
Ensure GRN done by team on time and escalation to concern if any.
Update shipment and transit status regularly for customer transparency Support departmental activities, including STO and GI invoice processing.
Manage waybill issuance and in/out register records for material movement Coordinate the maintenance & up-keeping of the Kitting facility.
Planning future capacity requirements with material planning or procurement team.
Overseeing the planned maintenance of all warehouse equipment;
Establish & implement Procedures in accordance to the company Policies and regulatory requirements;
Implement productivity improvement tools such as WMS and bar-coding system, with support from regional/functional teams.
Lead & implement continuous improvement activities to drive higher EHS standards, productivity and cost savings.
Identify training and development needs for the team and execute.
Work closely with Transportation team in arrangement of incoming deliveries, booking and collection schedules.
Manage and review 3PL for outsourced sites Establish, lead and coach the HPT (High Performance Team) in accordance to JCMS (Johnson Controls Manufacturing System).
Lead and implement world class EHS standards/ 5S programs for the warehouses in charge to achieve Zero Harm objective.
Establishing, implementing and maintaining the certification of Integrated Management System (ISO9001, OHSAS18001 & ISO14001 standard).
Perform other related duties as required.
Diploma/degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent, with at least 8-10 years of experience in related roles & job scopes.
Technical Skills, knowledge and experience
Familiarity with Supply Chain best practices.
Fluent in English and knowledge of additional Indian languages.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence others through demonstrated expertise.
Experience managing Logistics Service Providers.
Effective verbal and written communications skills to coordinate issues internally and brief management.
Proactive, conscientious, and able to drive projects to successful and timely completion.
Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time/workload pressure.
A self-motivated energetic team player with good problem solving skills.
People manager to lead, manage, develop and motivate a highly effective team. Analytical, meticulous, patient and customer oriented attitude.
Computer literate with frequent application of MS programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in ERP system such as Baan, SAP, Oracle, JD Edward etc. will be the added advantage.
Hands on experience on using the WMS & warehouse barcoding system.
OUT OF SCOPE DUTY
Warehousing and Handling of FG/Heavy equipment by Crane/Forklift. The same needs to be handled by trained person and supervision by Factory / EHS Operations.
