Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Welder to support our gloves manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of production equipment, machinery structures, pipelines, frames, platforms, and other metal components while ensuring safety, quality, and minimum machine downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ARC/MIG/TIG welding and gas cutting as required.
- Carry out welding and fabrication work for production machinery, equipment frames, supports, pipelines, tanks, platforms, and structures.
- Repair damaged or worn-out machine components and metal parts.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings, sketches, and measurements.
- Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, and fitting of metal components.
- Support the Maintenance Team during preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure welding work is completed according to required dimensions, quality, and safety standards.
- Inspect welded joints for strength, alignment, and defects.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, gas cylinders, cables, and other equipment in good working condition.
- Follow proper procedures for handling welding gases, electrodes, and other materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow company EHS, PPE, fire-safety, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Support emergency maintenance and breakdown activities when required.
- Maintain basic records of maintenance and fabrication work performed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- 0–5 years of relevant welding/fabrication experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Good knowledge of ARC/MIG/TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to use welding machines, gas cutting equipment, grinders, drilling machines, and hand tools.
- Ability to read basic drawings and take accurate measurements.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and welding safety practices.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as with the maintenance team.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Rubber/glove manufacturing machinery
- Industrial maintenance
- Steam/utility pipelines
- Stainless-steel fabrication
- MS/SS structures and equipment fabrication
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
