About the Position
INDSRO is inviting applications for five Project Scientist positions to support its laboratory testing and development activities. The selected candidates will assist with sample preparation, scientific testing, laboratory instrumentation, data analysis and technical documentation.
Candidates with knowledge or prior exposure to NABL practices and ISO/IEC 17025 will be preferred to support the future development of the laboratory’s quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, identify, prepare and handle laboratory samples.
- Perform scientific testing according to approved methods and instructions.
- Operate laboratory instruments and accurately record observations.
- Compile, analyse and present test data.
- Prepare test worksheets, technical reports and laboratory records.
- Maintain sample-tracking records, equipment logs and testing documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of standard operating procedures and testing methods.
- Support equipment calibration, verification and routine maintenance activities.
- Participate in quality checks and laboratory-development activities.
- Identify and communicate testing deviations or unusual observations.
- Maintain proper laboratory safety, cleanliness and discipline.
- Work closely with scientific, technical, quality and project teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc., M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- 0–3 years of experience in laboratory testing, research, instrumentation or quality assurance.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory testing methods and instruments.
- Awareness of NABL practices or ISO/IEC 17025 will be preferred.
- Understanding of quality assurance and laboratory documentation.
- Ability to record, analyse and present scientific data accurately.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to follow testing procedures and complete assigned work within timelines.
