MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)
Job Summary
The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and HVAC works at the project site. The role ensures that all MEP activities are completed as per approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines while coordinating closely with civil, architectural, and structural teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Execution
- Supervise execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and HVAC works.
- Ensure MEP installations are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Review MEP drawings and identify any design conflicts before execution.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil and finishing works to avoid delays and rework.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings for resolving site issues.
- Verify shop drawings and material submittals before implementation.
- Ensure smooth integration of MEP services with structural and architectural elements.
Quality Control
- Ensure all installations comply with IS Codes, NBC, local authority requirements, and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks during execution.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of all MEP systems.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure before project handover.
Material Management
- Prepare material requisitions and monitor material availability.
- Verify delivered materials against approved specifications.
- Control material wastage and maintain inventory records.
Billing & Documentation
- Verify contractor bills and work measurements.
- Maintain daily progress reports and MEP work records.
- Prepare BOQs, quantity calculations, and work completion reports.
- Maintain as-built drawings and technical documentation.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by contractors and workers.
- Support statutory inspections and approvals related to MEP systems.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in MEP execution for residential, commercial, or affordable housing projects.
- Experience in high-rise residential projects will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and BOQs.
- Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures.
- Familiarity with IS Codes, NBC, and construction standards.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and planning abilities.
- Ability to manage contractors and subcontractors effectively.
Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel
- MS Project (Preferred)
- Revit MEP (Preferred)

- Timely completion of MEP activities.
- Zero major quality defects during inspections.

- Experience in Affordable Housing or Residential Construction Projects.
- Strong site execution and contractor management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as required.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
