Production - Compression Moulding: Graduate Engineer Trainee / Diploma Engineer Trainee
Job Purpose
To manufacture oil seals using compression molding processes in compliance with approved Control Plan, Process SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Standards, ensuring product conformity, traceability, and continual improvement.

Rols & Responsibilities
Compression Molding & Process Control
-
Operate compression molding machines as per Control Plan and Process SOP
-
Set and verify curing parameters (temperature, pressure, time)
-
Ensure correct mold loading and compound placement
-
Record process parameters as required
Curing & Oven Process
-
Operate curing ovens as per defined specifications
-
Monitor oven temperature using Pyrometer
-
Ensure curing conformity to avoid under-cure or over-cure defects
Material Handling & Traceability
-
Handle raw materials, WIP, and finished oil seals as per material handling SOP
-
Follow FIFO and maintain batch/lot traceability
-
Prevent material mix-ups and contamination
Product Knowledge & Compliance
-
Apply knowledge of rubber behavior and oil seal construction
-
Follow approved Work Instructions and SOPs at all times
-
Ensure compliance with Control Plan requirements
Inspection & Quality Assurance
-
Perform in-process and final inspection of oil seals
-
Identify defects such as flash, voids, deformation, curing issues
-
Segregate non-conforming parts and follow Control of Non-Conforming Product procedure
Oil Seal Greasing & Packing
-
Perform oil seal greasing as per defined method and quantity
-
Pack oil seals according to packing standards and customer requirements
-
Ensure correct labeling and quantity accuracy
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
-
Identify and correct minor process issues within defined limits
-
Support root cause identification and corrective actions

Participate in continuous improvement activities (5S, Kaizen)
Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance

Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures

Maintain workplace cleanliness and 5S standards
-
Prevent damage to molds, machines, and measuring equipment
Authority & Responsibility:

Stop the process in case of quality non-conformance

Segregate and identify non-conforming product
-
Escalate process deviations to Supervisor / Quality Team
